West Leeming Primary School is situated 12 minutes south of the Perth CBD, in the suburb of Leeming within the City of Melville.
The school buildings are modern, cluster designs consisting of a central library resource centre, an administration block with the pre-primary and junior classrooms all under the main roof. The middle and senior blocks are separate buildings connected by walkways also housing the music and lote rooms. All classrooms and work areas are air-conditioned.
Other features include: an oval, adventure playgrounds, amphitheatre, enclosed undercover assembly/lunch area, basketball and netball courts, a canteen and floodlit tennis courts.
The school opened in 1986 with an enrolment of approximately 150 pupils and grew to 618. There are currently 15 classes, 2 pre-primary classes and 3 groups of 4 year old kindergarten students. There are 45 staff (including non-teaching staff), and staff turnover is low.
